Incredible Lake Placid from the air. We returned to the Lake Placid shows after over 20 years! The girls were finally old enough to show jumpers in the amazing Grand Prix Ring.
We spent two weeks showing in the High and Low Junior Jumpers. Taylor was clear both weeks (5th and 4th) in the $10,000 Level 8 High Junior Jumper classics. Frances was 2nd in a Low Junior Speed class and 7th in the Low Junior Jumper Classic the second week. 60 horses started in the Low Junior Classic! The weather cooperated and we only had a bit of rain over the two weeks. The show grounds is smaller than it was 20 years ago, but the town was still the same great place we remembered. |

Taylor was third in the $15,000 High Junior/Amatuer Classic on Canaille and also won the ASPCA Maclay medal class on Calvino. One more week to go! |

Frances continues her success in moving up to the 3'6" division. Again borrowing Calvino from big sister Taylor, Frances wins the USEF Medal class at the Aiken Classic this weekend. Rain, wind and sleet didn't seem to slow Calvin down as Taylor also won the Washington Jumper phase and the USEF Talent Search Medal Class on him. The USEF win gives Taylor 5 wins for a Bronze Medal and also gives her 2 firsts and 2 seconds to qualify her for the Talent Search Finals this fall. Frances made her jumper debut on Catalina in the childrens/ao classes where she was second, third and third in the $1500 classic. Frances was also champion in the large pony division with Versace. |
